Are you the developer of a Mac desktop application?

Do you have the power to add a coupon "OneFingerDiscount" to your store, giving customers a 20% discount through next Friday, November 13?

You're invited to submit your company's information to Daniel Jalkut, organizer of the promotion. As of this writing, Daniel is accepting all submitted applications, provided they meet the guidelines of the promotion description.

To submit your company information you need to provide me with details about your company, your store, and the applications you offer for sale. To participate you must agree to offer the 20% discount on all of your listed applications.

The format for submitted data must be in JSON format. It's important that you follow these steps carefully and precisely. Because of the burden I'm taking on processing all of these, I have to ask each developer to carefully validate the data and be sure there are no errors. If I hit any problems I am liable to skip your submission and move on to the others.

  1. Download the JSON sample template.
  2. Change all fields as appropriate to your company/applications.
  3. Confirm that the modified JSON template validates at JSON Lint.
  4. Confirm that your coupon code "OneFingerDiscount" is live, or if you cannot use that coupon code for some reason, that the store URL in your JSON automatically sets the coupon code for users.
  5. Attach the excruciatingly validated, perfect JSON text file to an email to me with subject "DEV: One Finger Discount".

For application images, please be considerate that the image will load on every page view or RSS entry view. A 64x64 icon should be large enough to cover any possible use I have in mind for the icon.

For your company description, please use the style I have established for the existing listings. If you were an early participant and are just updating your JSON, use the company description I originally devised for your listing. I will change any text I care to in your submission, to suit the format of the site.

Note that I may choose not to display all of the information you provide. For applications, list them in the order of priority you'd like them displayed.

Submissions will be processed as time permits, and you are not guaranteed listing on the promotion page, though it is extremely likely that you will be.

I encourage you to spread the word about the promotion, informing your current customers and Twitter friends who may be interested.

Thanks for helping to make this project a success!
